THE REVIEW
I reviewed the first and second books in this series HERE and HERE. Now I know this is book six, so I skipped reviewing a few of them in the series, but I hope you don’t mind…since I saved the best for last.
Saint Returns is the long-awaited series finale to The Thresl Chronicles. Set on another planet, this series is an unique blend of science fiction, paranormal and political thriller all rolled up in a M/M romance. In book six, readers get the long-awaited story of Saint, former king and bad-ass Thresl. In this installment, Saint has finally found his mate, Mars. But don’t expect Insta-Love and happy times right away. You see, Mars has no desire to be the bonded of a Thresl King, and he leads Saint on a merry chase before allowing the other man to catch him!
I think it’s very difficult to create a character that everyone loves, wants to see more of and then when you finally get to his story actually pull it off. The anticipation is greater than the actual product. But that is not the case with Ms. Kell and Saint Returns. The author delivers Saint’s book with a lot of humor, sexiness, political intrigue and a few plot points that turn the series on its head – in a good way. Saint Returns was everything I wanted in Saint’s story and more.
The characterizations in this book were dead on and the author kept continuity throughout the series. Mars and Saint have to be my favorite couple now. Their spark and snarky banter was a delight. Add in the secondary characters I loved from the other Thresl books, and this was just a fun read.
So, if you are looking for a good sci-fi based M/M book that has solid world building, great characters and hot sex scenes then look no further…The Thresl Chronicles is it. And once you read books one through five, enjoy the last installment. It was worth the wait!
The book is available for early download for Totally Bound members today.
The review seems to have gone AWOL, but since I lost interest at the word ‘shifter’ I suppose I wouldn’t read it anyway 😉
(Thanks for the shifter warning though) 😀
