On Higher Ground

On Higher Ground is the sequel to . The blurb confused me because I honestly thought this was a series, not a sequel. I thought we were getting two new characters. Whoops, my bad! So, a reminder to all, this can NOT be read as a stand-alone.

I enjoyed On Solid Ground and rated it 4 stars. It had a few stumbles, but the mixture of military men, PTSD, tattoos, a service dog named Tonka, a child and hurt/healing/comfort made up for the flaws. I feel the same way about book 2. It has all the elements of the first book (including blistering hot sex), but with new angst and stumbles. Of course there is a HEA, duh!

My recommendation is that if you have already read and liked it, you will enjoy this continuation of Dax and Beck and Violet and Tonka’s story. Love wins in the end!

Recommended.
