A Change of Heart Novel
Jin Church is back where he started, alone, wandering, and uncertain of his path. It’s not by choice but by circumstance, as he remembers he’s a werepanther… but not much else. He knows one thing for sure—he needs to find the beautiful blond man who haunts his dreams.
Logan Church is trapped in a living hell. His mate is missing, his tribe is falling apart, and he’s estranged from the son he loves with all his heart. His world is unraveling without his mate by his side, and he has no one to blame but himself.
If Jin can regain his memory and Logan can overcome the threats to his leadership, then perhaps they can resume their lives. The question is: Is that what they want? Back to the same house, the same tribe, the same troubles? They can choose from various roads leading to their future… or they can forge their own path.
5+ Stars!!!
I enjoyed this so much, I immediately read it again.
This had it all: action, romance, betrayal, hot sex…I think it’s by far the best of the series – and that’s saying something as I absolutely LOVE this series.
I was both terribly excited and horribly nervous about this story. I love Jin and Logan and the blurb for this did not a good portent make. But, ultimately, I had unshakeable faith in Mary that she wouldn’t let me down or leave me without a HEA. (Spoiler: I was right.)

- This installment just stood to reinforce the loathing I’ve always had for Peter, Koren and Russ. The only good members of the Church family are Delphine and Logan’s mother, Eva.
I don’t understand why they keep messing with Jin. As Crane points out:
“They keep testing you, and for what reason, I do not know. There may be no limit to your power, but certainly, why would we want to push you and find out?”

It just about broke my heart to see the tribe turn their back on Logan and Jin.
I wanted to tell them all, You’re making a mistake letting Logan go. He’s the best man, the best leader, the best everything. Him leaving will diminish this tribe. But it was useless, and I knew, just like he knew, that saying anything would be meaningless.
My favorite part of the whole thing? When Domin showed up and kicked them all (metaphorically) in the teeth.
I thought it was a perfect punishment for them. All their machinations to come not only to naught, but death. And all without Logan or Jin having to dirty their hands with it. HA! Serves them right, the bloody bastards!
I liked the fact that in the end you know the “bad guys” are all ruined and Jin and Logan get their HEA. That they’ll all, with the exception of Russ who will be killed quickly in the first challenge, have to live with their actions in misery and hopelessness. Death is too quick for those motherfuckers. The best revenge is they will stew in it for the rest of their lives.
I just loved every part of this. It worked for me in every way. Mary Calmes knocked it out of the park. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
P.S.: I can’t wait for the audio book.
