The last thing Cole expects to get for the holidays is dumped. But there he is, in the airport on his way to Banff for a romantic getaway, helplessly watching as his boyfriend’s ex declares undying love, proposes—and is accepted. With a few weeks to go until Christmas, Cole’s mood dives from jolly to jaded. But instead of sitting at home alone and feeling sorry for himself, he goes to his favorite bar, McGregor’s, for a pint and some company.

The moment Owen McGregor sets eyes on Cole, he knows there’s something wrong. So he takes it upon himself to ensure that Cole has a happy holiday: twelve outings for the twelve days before Christmas. Even if he can’t quite think up twelve activities that don’t involve getting the forlorn hunk into his bed.

With each outing they take together, Cole realizes that the love he thought he’d shared with his ex was less than perfect. And that Owen might prove to be more than just his rebound remedy.

This is my first book by this author and I have to say I am impressed! This book quickly caught my attention and I was immediately able to connect and enjoy the story!

This story is action packed from the first chapter and the drama and angst continue throughout the entire story. We meet the main character and watch his life change within the first chapter of the book – no easing us into the action, and I can truly appreciate that as a reader. The plot of this story, as you may have guessed from the title, is the rebound relationship. If you constantly find yourself as a member of a rebound relationship how will you ever know when a good relationship comes around? Well that is something Cole is trying to figure out and he has a hot bartender, Owen, who is willing to try to show him the difference.

Half the fun of any relationship is getting to know the other person – yes Cole and Owen get to know each other in many ways including good ol’ carnal knowledge! Yes, this book has some steamy scenes that will definitely warm your heart! Let’s just say these two find creative ways to stay warm in the brutal winter of Canada!

Yes, Rebound Remedy is a book I think every lover of the male/male genre will enjoy. It is an enthralling story that I devoured in one sitting and the theme is believable which makes a huge difference, it’s a story that we can all see ourselves reflected in the main characters. I mean who hasn’t had trouble finding and keeping a good man?
So why 4.5 Stars? Well, I think the book was a little thin meaning it left the reader with some questions. I am not sure if this is a start of a series or if the writer just ran out of steam but I felt cheated with the resolution. I will however be looking for more from this author and I can only hope that future books will revisit Cole and Owen and maybe answer some of the unanswered questions.

A fun story about following your letting go and following your heart; even if you have been the victim of a rebound and had your heart broken before.
