Two cops walk into a bar. Mason, the bartender, waits for the punch line, because no way in hell are these ridiculously hot men real cops. They’re straight out of a cop-fetish fantasy. But he quickly learns that Jack and Gray are the real deal, and they want him in the worst way.
What starts as a night of hot, three-way sex becomes a lot more. The two cops fulfill Mason’s submissive fantasies, but they also meet a more basic need, comfort. They want to take care of Mason, to offer him unconditional friendship, but their concern for him unnerves Mason more than even the kinkiest sex.
To find happiness with his new partners, Mason must change his belief that love is as much a fantasy as a pair of gorgeous, handcuff-wielding cops landing in his bed.
Greg Boudreaux (the new audio identity Greg Tremblay is using for steamier erotic fiction) delivers a solid performance. I liked his voice choices for the characters, and Greg knows how to deliver the heat for the sexy times.
This is a steam filled, unconventional romance between established couple, Jack and Gray, and bartender, Mason. Told entirely from Mason’s POV the relationship starts off, for Mason, as one hot night, but evolves into so much more as feelings grow deeper.
Mason, who has been in a ménage once before, is leery of his deepening feelings for Jack and Gray because of the way he was burned before and consequently he does a lot of running. There’s a lot of non-communication from Mason which drove me nuts.
Mostly, I wish I could have gotten Jack and Gray’s POVs too.
I really wanted to like this. Hell, I was all set to LOVE this. I’ve been looking for a great ménage story and this came VERY highly recommended. I don’t know…maybe it was timing or mood, but I didn’t like it as much as I hoped I would.
I wish I liked it more, especially as it has all the elements I usually love, but with the exception of the communication issues that drove me entirely insane for a quarter of the story, I only solidly liked it. It was okay…but not the spectacularly hot romance I thought it was going to be.
Bottom Line: This has steamy moments, some D/s play, an emotional connection between the lovers, and it’s a sweet, ménage romance with some angst.
