Once you learn to read, you will be forever free.  Frederick Douglas

I distinctly remember that day in school when, all of a sudden, those squiggles on the page made sense and I could read. It has changed my life in ways I still cannot comprehend.

What do I read? Strange things. Quite a few years ago I read everything I could get my hands on about mountain climbing. I’m a firm believer in Richard III’s innocence; despise Henry VIII (although The Tudors was bloody wonderful). I read enough true crime novels that my poor husband tells me, in case our marital bliss ends, “Just leave me, for god’s sake, don’t shoot me!” Lately, I’ve been hugely enamored with good M/M romance. Life is good.
