— You can take a killer’s memory, but not his instinct —

All Seth wants is to live free with the man he loves. But escaping death at the hands of the mafia is just the beginning of an uphill struggle. When Domenico wakes up from his impromptu surgery and doesn’t even remember Seth’s name, Seth’s world falls apart. Suddenly it’s him who has to plan an escape from New York City and navigate their way to Mexico. All that without even knowing if the man of his life will ever love him again.

Domenico doesn’t know who to trust and what to believe. The man who introduces himself as his brother seems to hide dark secrets behind a cheerful smile. With the mafia breathing down their necks, there is no time to piece together the puzzle of Domenico’s life, and each time he thinks he’s solved it, a new part appears to be missing. Dom needs to find out who he really is, what he’s capable of… and what is the real story hidden behind Seth’s intense eyes.

‘Guns n’ Boys’ is a gritty story of extreme violence, offensive language, abuse, and morally ambiguous protagonists. Behind the morbid facade, there is a splash of inappropriate dark humor, and a love story that will crawl under your skin.

… and then there was Dom, unharmed and sexy as fuck with his trusty Beretta in hand.

This series has become my drug of choice, and it’s only getting better. Domenico and Seth are on the run. This book is their journey as they try to escape the mafia. It is full of adventure, surprises, impossibly hilarious situations, dark humor, funny and witty dialogues, steam, and most importantly, love.

After the gut-punching ending of the previous book, Dom has lost his memory. When he wakes up, he doesn’t remember anything, not even Seth. In this installment, we got to see a different side of him. He ‘s confused, insecure, and lost. For the first time in his life, he has to rely on someone else. But it doesn’t take long for his insticts and personality to take over even if he does not remember a thing. BUT… “You can take a killer’s memory, but not his instinct:

Seth is stronger than before, less naive and more determined. Well…most of the time. But he’s still the same sweetheart we met in the previous books. The one who cooks for his man, offers risotto to the enemy and buys a rooster so that the chicken doesn’t feel lonely.

And that’s what I liked the most about the book. The circumstances change, the MCs must adjust, but the authors stayed true to the characters. It’s the same men we loved in the previous books.

The connection between them is stronger than ever, their bond unbreakable.

“You have the power to crush my heart, so how could anyone else resist you?”?
“Yes. I almost lost you today. I need to drown in you,”

The last 10% of the book had me holding my breath, because let me tell you, nobody writes action scenes like these ladies.

The ending is a cliffy, sort of, but my favorite kind. The one that leaves you warm and settled but makes you crave more of a love that will crawl under your skin.

Highly recommended!

Great review, Ele! I want to read these ladies books but I’m intimidated by them. LOL What book or series would you recommend?
